You’re Not Behind — You’re Blooming
What the Middle of the Journey Actually Looks Like
June is here. And if you’re anything like me, the start of a new month comes with a whole mix of emotions — excitement, reflection, maybe a little pressure. You look back at what you set out to do in January, or even just last month, and you wonder: Am I where I’m supposed to be?
I want to speak directly to that question today. Not to give you a motivational pep talk that fades by Thursday — but to give you something that lasts. A truth that I’ve had to remind myself of again and again in this journey of building TTrendsbyToyMo:
You are not behind. You are in the middle. And the middle is where everything is actually growing.

The Part Nobody Talks About
We love a good beginning. The launch, the first sale, the “I did it!” moment. We love the ending too — the big milestone, the anniversary, the celebration post. But nobody really talks about the messy, uncertain, sometimes exhausting space in between. That’s where most of us actually live.
The middle looks like: posting consistently even when the engagement is quiet. Filling orders at midnight because you still have a household to run during the day. Learning something new for the hundredth time and still not feeling like you have it all figured out.
Sound familiar? Good. That means you’re building something real.
Flowers Don’t Apologize for Taking Time
Think about what happens underground before a flower ever blooms. There’s no fanfare. No one is watching. The roots are quietly pushing deeper, anchoring, stretching toward water and nutrients in the dark. And then one day — seemingly out of nowhere — something breaks through the surface.
But it wasn’t out of nowhere. It was all that quiet, invisible work.

Your business is doing the same thing. Every order you fulfill with care, every product you design with intention, every late night you invest in learning — that’s root work. It’s not flashy. You may not be able to see it yet. But it is happening, and it matters more than you know.
June is a blooming month. Not because everything will suddenly come together overnight — but because you’ve been planting. And planted things grow.
What “The Middle” Is Teaching You
If you’re somewhere between where you started and where you want to be, here’s what I want you to hold onto:
Resilience isn’t built at the finish line. It’s built right here, in the days when you show up anyway.
Clarity doesn’t come before the work. It comes through it. Every stumble is sharpening your vision.
Community is built in the in-between. The people who find you now, in the middle of your story, are the ones who will celebrate hardest when you bloom fully.
Your “why” is still valid. The Navy husband. The daughter in scrubs. The community that gives everything. Those reasons haven’t changed. Let them keep carrying you.
A New Month, A New Breath
June 1st is not a deadline. It’s an invitation. An invitation to release any shame about where you thought you’d be by now, and step fully into where you actually are — which is further along than you give yourself credit for.
This month, I want to challenge you to do one thing: look for the growth you’ve been dismissing. The customer who came back. The skill you didn’t have six months ago. The moment you didn’t give up even though you really, really wanted to.
That’s not small. That’s a bloom.
—

To everyone out there in the middle of their journey — I see you. I am you. And I believe with everything in me that what you’re building is going to be worth every quiet, unseen, root-growing day.
Happy June. Keep going.
With love, LaToya — TTrendsbyToyMo
